Dear community leaders and partners,
I’m sending this notice to elected, appointed and civic leaders across Oregon communities served by Rogue Retreat in Jackson and Josephine Counties.
I want you to be aware Rogue Retreat is closely monitoring the developments related to COVID-19 and is taking precautions to help preserve the health and safety of our employees, program participants, and other stakeholders to minimize the spread of the illness. As an essential service provider to the homeless, we are taking precautionary measures to ensure continued shelter, housing, and outreach services to the public. These measures are focused on health and safety and the continued delivery of safe and reliable housing and shelter services in our communities.
We have no confirmed cases among our employees or program participants and are taking a preventative approach within our facilities to minimize risk and protect our role in serving the public. We are prepared to manage through this evolving situation and appreciate the support of our employees and all those we serve.
We are following recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and regional health organizations and have taken a number of additional steps, out of an abundance of caution, to preserve health and safety and minimize the spread of illness, including:
We are maintaining appropriate staffing for all business functions. Rogue Retreat personnel will continue to perform services to the homeless in Southern Oregon and will continue to do so in a manner that preserves the safety of our staff, unsheltered, and the community.
We are actively monitoring the COVID-19 situation and will communicate any additional changes should the status of this situation shift. Please let me know if you have and questions.
